SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Get ready for a day of jubilation and an evening of pure fun! The highly anticipated 15th Year Anniversary Celebration of Queen Bee Art & Cultural Center is set to dazzle and delight you.
On December 12, 2023, Queen Bee Art & Cultural Center will mark its remarkable 15-year journey with a special celebration that shines a spotlight on the very essence of this iconic establishment. Food, music, and dance take center stage for a day and night to remember!
Established in 2008 by Alma Rodriguez
Queen Bee Art & Cultural Center has firmly entrenched itself within San Diego's thriving arts community, providing a nurturing space for a diverse range of artistic expressions, from spoken word and salsa dancing to comedy and the annual San Diego Beatles Fair. For this momentous occasion, a full day and night of activities have been meticulously planned, featuring a delightful cocktail lounge and a gourmet taco bar among the amenities for party-goers.
The festivities commence at noon with a warm reception
followed by a significant milestone at 1:30 p.m. – the official proclamation from the City of San Diego, acknowledging Queen Bee's myriad contributions. Music enthusiasts are in for a treat with live performances scheduled at 2 p.m. (rock and pop), 4 p.m. (jazz), and 7 p.m. (swing). Notably, acclaimed singer Mercedes Moore will offer free swing dance lessons at 6 p.m.
Alma Rodriguez expressed her excitement, stating, "I'm honored to have reached this milestone. It hasn't always been easy, but I think we've built up something special at Queen Bee's. I love that it's a base for so many different art forms and that it's a place where people can meet, mingle, and just have a good time.
